Gratitude Gatherings

Weekly Sunday Gatherings (Sanctuary & All In)

Join us in person in our sanctuary, or live on Facebook, any Sunday at 10 AM.  It's a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.  There'll be some music, probably some good stories, definitely some laughs, and maybe some tears. Most importantly, it'll be about Jesus and not religious or partisan beliefs.  We meet in our sanctuary most Sundays. On most Sundays we have low key gatherings we call, Sanctuary. These are simple, low-tech gatherings featuring acoustic music. On the third Sunday of each month, we have “All In” gatherings with a full band. We encourage everyone who is part of the MCF community to join together for the All In Gatherings. We have some great things going on for children and youth!

Living Room Liturgy

A Living Room Liturgy is an alternative gratitude gatherings that happen in people’s homes. People gather in groups of about 6 to 12 to read scripture, watch a short talk by one of the pastors on video, to discuss how the reading and talk is relevant to their lives, pray, have communion, and eat together.

The Table

The Table is a periodic outdoor brunch gratitude gathering during the warm weather months where we gather for worship around tables, sing, read scripture, pray, listen to a short talk, and discuss it. The highlight of The Table is enjoying brunch together while we have some music or a DJ providing a festive musical backdrop.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT GRATITUDE GATHERINGS

It's a relaxed, safe, and welcoming atmosphere. Most people dress casually but nobody will care if you come in your Sunday best. It’s okay to bring food and beverage inside the sanctuary, and our Living Room Liturgies and The Table feature brunch or potluck meals. All of our gratitude gatherings feature Communion. Communion is an ancient Christian practice. Bread wafers and grape juice are shared in thankful remembrance of the way Christ gives himself to us and for us so that, although we are diverse, we can be restored and made one. All are welcome to participate in communion. In our gatherings, nobody is singled out and everyone is encouraged to participate as they are comfortable. We make every effort to make everyone feel welcome and at ease, including the introverts!

CAMPUS PARKING

There is usually street parking on Culver Blvd. near the church.  There is plenty of additional parking in the lot about a half block East on Culver or Braddock.  Look for the parking signs marking the entrances to the lot. Once you park, walk west across our campus back to the sanctuary from the parking lot.
