Anna Aguilar

Melanie Slayton

Anna Aguilar is a dynamic performer with a powerful voice.  Combining an engaging, confident stage presence with soulful pop vocals, she instantly bonds with audiences everywhere she performs. Growing up as the daughter of a pastor, Anna cut her musical teeth singing in church.  Her mother, also a singer, was instrumental in helping Anna develop and perfect her vocal abilities, and they often sing together. As a vocalist and a songwriter, Anna is always open to new musical styles and experiences.  Not surprisingly, her musical background is diverse and includes performing for LL Cool J, Gloria Estefan and George Lopez; recording vocals for children’s praise and worship cd’s; international appearances in Jamaica and Mexico; live performances with Contemporary Christian band “Living Water” in venues throughout Los Angeles and Colorado; serving as a children’s choir director and staging children’s musicals.  With a vocal style influenced by Christina Aguilera and Alicia Keys, Anna is a gifted artist who is equally comfortable singing Pop, R/B and Rock.
Gifted vocalist Melanie Slayton has been singing as long as she can remember.  Her passionate, emotionally charged vocals began to flourish as, growing up, she watched her talented father sing and play bass with a variety of professional bands.  Her love for music continued to be a strong influence throughout school, and her impressive vocals were recognized with invitations to sing in choirs and musical productions.  In 1997, she was asked to sing at the International Youth Conference in Colorado.  Later, she became a featured singer on worship teams and in numerous church productions. She also joined the Contemporary Christian band “What is Love”, and currently performs in venues throughout the Southern California area.  She cites a diversity of musical styles as influences including Gospel, Rock, Country and Blues.  However, above all other types of singing, Melanie has a particular love for worship leading, and her favorite moments are the times when the congregation so fully enter into praise, that their singing overpowers the amplified voices and instruments on stage. Looking forward to future musical achievements, Melanie would love to fulfill her long held dream – singing the National Anthem.
